I am looking for puzzles for me and Lucy to work on together- any ones that we can borrow would be most appreciated! I would say anything under 200 pieces would work for her.
Thanks! Em

Happy 5th Birthday Lucy Lu
What a happy couple of days for the Yungblut family. All 6 of them in the same place and Lucy home for her 5th birthday.
I have put some new Links to the left. One is a site where there are We Love Lucy Lu items that can be purchased.
Thank you all to the housecleaners. What a great response that we had. I was at school helping out, so I was not a cleaner.
Please keep checking in. There is always something that is needed.
Happy Birthday Lucy, Autumn Leaf is happy to have you back. You were missed.

Calling all Housekeepers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone! Don’t know if everyone has heard the good news yet but Lucy will be coming home probably Friday. Therefore the Yungblut house needs to be thoroughly cleaned tomorrow. If you can make it, please email me at heidip@fuse.net and hopefully we can get enough moms to whip out the house quickly. I would say cleaning can begin at 9:30 once the kids are off to school and you have had enough time to consume plenty of caffeine! After this initial cleaning we will be having a service come in every other week.
Thanks,
Heidi

Making a meal for the Yungbluts
As many of you know one of our Maddux families, the Yungbluts, has recently found out their youngest daughter Lucy has leukemia.
Dream Dinners has offered to donate a free meal per order for the Yungbluts during the months of December and January.
Dream Dinners is located in the Anderson Towne Center. They are a meal assembly store striving to make meal time easier for families . Many of us already use this service especially during such a busy time of year to provide our families home cooked meals
When placing your order please type in "Making a meal for the Yungbluts" in the Comment Section.
Thank you in advance for helping the Yungbluts during this difficult time.
To learn more about Dream Dinners please go to dreamdinners.com or if you have any questions about this fundraiser please call the store at 233-3732.
This offer only applies to the Dream Dinners Anderson Towne Center location.

WOW
Well, the overwhelming response from all of you is truly inspiring! It has taken me this long to dig through all of the emails/voicemails! It's so interesting to hear your stories of why you want to help- the "Pay it Forward" theme is so common...life is filled with good people!
Painting Sophies room got so many offers- I'd be happy to offer my own home if you really want to paint :)- That got snapped up right away by Shannon- thank you!
Plan is to have meals for Mon/Wed/Fri- if you have to deliver a day early, that's fine too. Refrigerator in the garage is accessible through the side door. Please just remember to use disposable containers if possible, or clearly mark any pieces you want back and they will set them out by the fridge for you to pick up at your convenience.
If you wouldn't mind sending me the menu of the meal you dropped off- or general gist of what it is, so I can advise the upcoming cooks what the Yungbluts just had the week prior- as appreciative as they are I'm sure they would prefer not to have lasagna 3 nights in a row :)!!
I will plan on emailing out a reminder on the Sunday prior to your meal week- but please make a note of your meal date on your calendar.
People are asking what else can be done besides meals? As soon as Lucy comes home and there is a routine I'm sure there will be more requests. There is a fund set up with 5/3 bank- donations can be made to Friends of Lucy ( under Business Accounts) and those donations will go towards general housekeeping as well as medical needs.
Em and Dave have your contact info that was given to me and the various tasks you are willing to help out with- thank you.
We will get to you- we are in this for the long haul!
Any questions, don't hesitate to give me a call/email- again thanks so much for your kind generosity! Best wishes for a beautiful holiday season!
Kelly Lowe
**Note from Jenn- Please look at the Google Calandar for your dates to make meals.

Yungblut Family Volunteer Crew
Hello all friends of the Yungbluts!
My name is Kelly Lowe, and I am the unofficial Yungblut Family Volunteer Coordinator. Heidi Polster has been insturmental in gathering all of your names- thanks SO much Heidi!
Please don't think we've forgotten your generous requests for help! I have so many email addresses I had to create 2 groups already- so you will be included at some point- we're in this for the long haul!! Over the course of this journey, I am sure they will have several requests and since each and every one of you have asked the question "is there anything I can do?!" We just might be calling on you to fulfill some favors!
Dinners are currently taken care of through Dec 17- I will be working on the calendar for the remainder- many of you have offered meals- if you have particular days of the week that would be best for you, please let me know and I will work with your schedule.
Some favorites:
Salad, pastas ( with sauce on the side ), all types of pork- chops, tenderloin, beans, chili, soups- minestrone and chicken noodle, chicken, sub sandwiches...and breakfast for dinner is also a favorite!
Other ways to help?
Sophie's birthday is in January- Em and Dave told her they would redecorate her room for her birthday- any chance there are any good/willing painters out there who would be interested in painting Sophie's room?
A bank account has been established for donations at 5/3 Bank- Friends of Lucy- it was opened at the Anderson Branch but donations can be made at any 5/3 location.
Other activites?
Kids love bikerides and going to the park
Grocery Shopping
Packing lunches
Yard work
Cleaning service reccommendations for that area?
any willing volunteers in the above would be wonderful!
Perhaps you are just able to say some prayers right now- that is most appreciated!
Watching Em, Dave and Lucy on this journey so far has been truly inspiring to me- I've known them for years, and know first hand just how good these people are! I'm sure you all have your own stories to attest to that fact! They are so good at giving, that receiving is a challenge for them. They are so appreciative and overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness they are being showered with from friends and strangers....a true testament to the way they have touched people in their lives. Thank you for being a part of their support team!
If you have any questions, thoughts or suggestions as to how to assist them in any way, please contact me- by email at kellys@fuse.net
Thanks so much!
Kelly Lowe

Update on Bank Account Info....
The "Friends of Lucy" bank account is NOT tax dectutable, due to it/we are not a non-profit. It is only to help out the 'Blut's. The bank account is under a business account if the teller can not find it.

Need for a seamstress/tailor
Lucy is having problem with some of her long sleeved t-shirts. Is there anyone who would be able to cut her shirts to make them short sleeved? That would be fantastic!

Send an E Card To Lucy
Hello on this bright and sunny day,
I found out on a visit to Lucy that there are E cards that Children's Hospital has that you can send:
https://secure.cchmc.org/gbl_ecard/select.asp
I thought that this would be fun for kids to do.
That's all for today.

Bank Account at 5/3
Heidi and David went to 5/3 today and opened a bank account for donations to help out the family. Go to any 5/3 to make a deposit and tell them it is for the:
Friends of Lucy account.
If they have questions ask them to call the Anderson Branch, that is where Heidi and David opened the account.

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Turkey Day to Everyone!
I hope that this Blog will be a place where all of Emilys and Davids friends can come and find out what their needs are and the needs of the kids. Also to let them know what you are able to help out with.
Like my niece Jamie said that if Emily needs any babysitting or driving the kids somewhere just let her know.
So please post comments!
Hugs!
